Scarborough RNLI’s All weather lifeboat Frederick William Plaxton was tasked by Humber Coastguard to assist a small boat which had suffered engine failure. The vessel was located a tow established and brought back to the safety of Scarborough Harbour

Scarborough RNLI’s inshore lifeboat was paged following a report to Humber Coastguard of a person in the water in the North Bay. The lifeboat launched but whilst en-route the person had come out of the water so the lifeboat was stood down and returned to station.

Scarborough RNLI’s inshore lifeboat launched today to help the coastguards and police with a search for a missing person.
On a flat calm sea, the lifeboat launched at 4.44pm. The lifeboat was stood down when the missing person was found elsewhere.

Scarborough and Burniston Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked this morning to a person and dog in the water at Scalby Mills, Scarborough.

.Both of Scarborough's Lifeboats were also paged, whilst the lifeboat crews were assembling and the Costguards were en-route a second person entered the water and helped to get the first person and dog out of the water. Humber Coastguard stood both lifeboats down prior to launching.
